Some wedding days feel effortlessly beautiful from beginning to end, and Brooke and Andrew’s day was exactly that.
From the most delicate, thoughtfully chosen details to the softest coastal light, every part of their celebration at Veranda Laguna in Gulf Shores felt intentional, romantic, and deeply personal. There was such a calm, joyful rhythm to the entire day, made even sweeter by how smoothly everything came together... thanks in large part to their incredible planner, Kendra Lee Events.
One of my favorite choices we made was waiting until sunset for their bride and groom portraits. And it could not have been more perfect. The sky softened into the dreamiest pastel tones, wrapping them in that golden, almost ethereal light that I liiiiive to chase on a wedding day. It was quiet, intimate, and undeniably romantic.
This day also held a special kind of meaning for me personally. I had a precious up-and-coming photographer (who also happens to be a past bride of mine) shadowing alongside me, eager to learn and grow. Watching her soak it all in, ask questions, and leave the day feeling more confident in her work was incredibly fulfilling. It brought me right back to the early days of my own journey - when someone generously poured into me in the very same way (Wendy Wilson Photography, I'm looking at you and I love you!!!!) It felt like a full-circle moment, and I’m so grateful to now be in a place where I can do that for someone else.
Brooke and Andrew’s wedding was more than just beautiful; it was meaningful, intentional, and full of heart. The kind of day that reminds me exactly why I love what I do.
